Squall 580

Dreamed of downwind surfing, open-water crossings or challenging races but can't manage a narrower ski? Look no further than the Squall 580. Designed to fill the spot between the Exrcize and the Storm 610, the Squall 580 achieves an exceptional balance between stability and speed.

The extra width at 49cm provides the stability to venture out of your comfort zone while maintaining an impressive responsiveness and control in waves, and allowing you to maintain a close catch and fast stroke rate.

But it's not just about speed, comfort is paramount and we believe, essential for improving performance. With a wide, comfortable seat that accommodates even those with narrow hips the Squall 610 is the gateway surfski for paddlers looking to move up to the next level.

The Squall 580 features a long cockpit and is suitable for paddlers between 165cm to approximately 200cm and above.

Squall 540

The Squall 540 is the perfect surfski for smaller, lighter paddlers who crave the speed and performance of its larger counterpart, the Squall 580. Designed with all the same characteristics as the 580, the more compact 540 has a cockpit that is 5cm shorter, tailoring it to suit paddlers ranging from 155cm to 195cm.

If you are an intermediate paddler looking for all the speed and performance of the 580 but prefer a shorter boat look no further than the 540.

Why We Offer Two Lengths

We understand that every paddler has unique needs and preferences when it comes to choosing a surf ski. That's why we offer two different lengths to ensure that you can find the perfect fit for your style of paddling.

Generally, if you're a lighter paddler, you can benefit from a shorter hull, while bigger paddlers can benefit from a longer hull. However, there are many factors to consider such as the characteristics you prefer and how you want your ski to perform in various conditions. Even storage space can be a factor in your decision.

For example, if you're 95 kg and 2 m tall, a longer hull would likely be your natural choice. On the other hand, if you're 60 kg and 160 cm tall, a shorter hull would probably be a better fit. But for anyone in between, you can choose the length that best suits your preferences.

It's important to note that if you're a bigger person choosing a shorter hull, it will sit slightly deeper in the water. Conversely, if you're a lighter person choosing a longer hull, it will float slightly higher.

Ultimately, the length of your surf ski is a crucial factor in achieving the performance and experience you desire on the water, and we're here to help you find the perfect match.

Squall 540 CarbonLite

Why two lengths? We want to be sure that we can provide you with the best surfski for the type of paddling you are doing. Generally, if you are a lighter person you can benefit of a shorther hull and vice versa if you are a bigger person you can benefit of the longer hull. But it also comes down to your own preferences, what charateristics you like? How you want your ski to behave in different conditions? Even such a thing as storage space is one factor when finding your new ski.

If you are 95 kg 2 m, yes your natural option would be the longer hull and if you are 60 kg 160 cm you likely choose the shorther. But anything there between you can choose depending on what charateristics you like. Offcourse if you are the bigger person choosing the shorther hull it will sit slightly deeper in the water and opposite for the lighter person chosing the longer hull it will float slightly higher.

Material and Construction

Nordic surfskis and paddles exemplify the pinnacle of surfski production.  Meticulously crafted using our unrivalled combination of cutting-edge autoclave technology and prepreg carbon, we employ the same production process used in the space industry and F1 car manufacturing. By subjecting the prepreg fibres to four times atmospheric pressure and intense heat from the autoclave, we achieve an exceptionally strong and lightweight construction.

Our superior construction process surpasses alternative manufacturing techniques such as vacuum infusion, and our leading-edge design results in the creation of surfskis of unparalleled strength, durability and speed.
